Traditional Bali music have equality with traditional music many other area in Indonesia, for example in usage of “gamelan” and various beat castanets. Nevertheless, there are specification in technics play and its composition, for example in the form of “kecak”, that is hymn form which imitate monkey voice. “gamelan” even played also unique, for example “Gamelan Jegog, Gamelan Gong Gede, Gamelan Gambang, Gamelan Selunding, dan Gamelan Semar Pegulingan”. “Angklung” music played for the ceremony of “ngaben”, and also “Bebonangan” played in so many other ceremony.
There are modern form of traditional Bali music, for example “Gamelan Gong Kebyar” representing dance music which developed at a period colonization of Dutch, and also Joged Bumbung which popular since 1950 year . Generally Bali music is combination from various metalofon, gong, and xilofon. Traditional Bali music or “gamelan” playing influence other culture around him, for example traditional music at Banyuwangi and Lombok island.
Dance
In general, art of Balinese dance categorized three group; that is wali or sakral dance, bebali or dance for ceremony as well as for the visitor of, and balih-balihan or dance for the entertainment amusement. One of very popular dance to all tourist is Kecak Dance. Around 1930,
